| SO!, I have discovered that I am obsessed with waiting tables....I dont see how people can complain....even if they have a rude table...the good FAR outway the bad....or maybe it is because i work at andy's!...lol....yeah.....ANDY'S ROCKS!....
went to see cars today with some of da crew....and it was GOOD....very funny, and long enough to be worth the 7.50...lol....i definitely recommend it
church was good today...talked about worrying and its physical and spiritual affects....both of which are bad.....so dont worry....be happy (as the entire congregation sang this song....in FULL)...lol...im lovin me some Christ's Church | | |
| wow...so it has been pretty much 302380 years since i have posted.....i have just been so busy....maybe a bit too busy...lol
spring break was on point....new york was a blast and i hung out with some of the coolest people ever....EVEN THOUGH MOST OF THEM GO TO UNC...we saw wicked which was also great!....i have a whole new appreciation for the wicked witch.
the school year is obviously over....and boy am i glad about it....this semester took FOREVER!...i already miss my friends but they will be back soon
summer school is going well....im taking american sign language and intro to american education...both classes are very interesting but of course asl is my favorite...i love me some sign language!...went to my first silent lunch this past week...loads off fun and very difficult at the same time...lol.
ive been visiting collide....a ministry that meets downtown gville...cool peoples...cool peoples!
ccf is going GREAT...goooooo summer home meetings...lol...and andy's...well...i would like to tell you alll that i am now HEAD COOK!...which is a big deal...lol...at least to me...cause there is owner, manager, operator, HEAD COOK/head waitstaff....then the others..lol...I LOVE ME SOME ANDY'S!

| SO!...it is midterm week! let me tell YOU! I have been EXTREMELY STRESSED!...and yes, i know you are EXTREMELY interested so I will tell you all about it...lol
so, monday i show up in my span class and he says...get ready for the vocab quiz! we alll say....WHAT VOCAB QUIZ...(we seriously said it simultaneously...lol)...and then it took him like 15 minutes before he realized that he did not tell us about this quiz the previous friday...so he says...ok..well...memorize all the vocab for chapter 18 by wed....WHAT A JOY! also this week, i had a midterm due on thurs for intro to lang 2700 and a quiz (which is just like a midterm) for Brit lit 3010...and then i have a midterm tomorrow for black lit 3460. yeah, i was pumped about this week. now, ya see, the thing is, this past weekend since i was in charleston, i didnt exactly have the time to study for anything. and i have just had a really busy week....sidenote: E.D.U.C.A.T.E.'S cheesecake social went well (E.D.U.C.A.T.E. is ECU's first Minority Education Major's organization)....back to the stress. so after mon tues and wed flew by with meetings, work, and everything else...i ended up stayin up till 6am doing two study guides and revising a paper. i woke up at 9 to study some more and then i had my lang exam at 11...i think it went GREAT...i REALLY think i aced it! after that i went to the advising center and hung out with gwen a bit, then to the TF office and chilled with martha and devin while studying for my 3010 quiz....i took a bit of a nap on the couch in the office and then headed off to that dreaded class! the quiz went okay...but you never really know until you get your grade...to guesss does you NO good. then i went to prof melvin's office to talk about our black lit exam tomorrow and abstract which is also due. LOADS OF FUN...then I went to work at good ole ANDY'S!
i am PUMPED UP about spring break! I am getting my hair done tomorrow at one and after that i am HEADED ON TO GOOD OLE ROCKY MOUNT until Tuesday night. then im going to New York with Teaching Fellows until sunday afternoon...If we do anything, we teaching fellows travel! Im pumped up about it becasue i get to go into different schools and see how the school system is up there, AND i am going to see WICKED ON BROADWAY!...MAN IM PUMPED!

please be praying for my campus minister and his family. his grandfather died and he went up there for the funeral, then he has to leave the funeral and get on a plan because a group of people from ccf are going to ireland for a mission trip. so pray for all of them. and there is also a group going to boloxi for relief.

| yeah, so i havent posted in more than a month...but im makin up for it now...a lot has happened...but im not going to tell you all about that cause it has been alot over a long time...
i just got back from CHARLESTON,SC with Teaching Fellows! It was fun....we went on a ghost tour....our tour guide was INSANE...she kept yelling at the "ghost" trying to get them to do stuff...yeah...pretty entertaining...and then she pulled out a bandana and a eye patch! good...ness! i learned a lot of history though! we chilled round the city a bit more and then went back to the hotel...GREAT SLEEP!...best ive had in a WHILE! then on sat we had SIX hours to explore! first we went to the market...which was cool but at the same time REALLY like WHOA! it was mellowing to stand there and look around and think...wow...if i was here a150 years ago, i would standing around naked, being examined so someone coudl sale me. i thought about how things have changed a lot while i was there....and thanking God that they have, but at the same time looking around and seeing things like the confederate flag and stuff, i was reminded about how a lot of things havent.
charleston is a beautiful city with LOTS of us history in it! the homes are insanely beautiful, some of the smells, not so much...lol. the sewage drains and the horse drawn carriages added a bit of ....uniqueness to the city that could mos def be passed up. the bus ride was cool too...i bit much, but cool. overall, id say that i enjoyed the trip and would love to go back again!
